Rev. & Mrs. Blake & Kathy Penson are Mexico team leaders (they stood behind me). They came to Santa Fe to visit Chinese church planting team last week. It is so nice they could meet our Spanish class students and their children: Go Go, Wei Wei (at the front) and Sofie (at the back). They are non-Christians. We walked around the community and discussed the development of Mandarin ministry.
Winnie and Maxine are Christians (at right side). They came from Hong Kong to visit us recently. They joined our Sunday service and had fellowship with the audience and us. We have service at Chins’ place every Sunday morning. It is big challenge for the families to attend because the employees of Huawei (most of them are men) are working many hours in weekdays and they prefer to stay with their families in weekend.
Prayer Items:
[1] Grace and her two young children went back to China recently because her father has lung cancer. Her father is baptized in the hospital last week. Praise the Lord! He will have treatment today. Pray for her father will have positive response for the treatment. Pray for Grace who is going to the hospital with her 4-months baby boy to visit her father every day. Grace has a brother and a sister who are not Christians. Pray for God will reveal Himself to them through their father’s illness.
[2] Pray for the opportunity for me to have deeper conversation with Go Go and Wei Wei who are my Spanish class students.
[3] I will share “parenting styles” to the community group on the morning of Oct 25th. Pray for the preparation and the topic is helpful for the audience.
[4] Pray for God opens the door for us to connect Chinese MEN who are working many hours.
[5] I will go back to Toronto on December 7th for medical follow up. I will stay in Toronto for 6 weeks. Pray for my health and God opens the door for me to share Mandarin ministry in Santa Fe when I stay in Toronto.
