Chinese team provides the course “Learn English through the Bible” on Friday morning. About 6-7 ladies come. We divide them into two groups. Victor & Betty lead the groups individually and I take care of children. Also, we provide bilingual service (English/Mandarin) on Sunday morning. We hope some men who likes to speak English will come. A Christian family and 3 ladies with their children joined the service. I am thankful for the visit from Michelle Derksen (right side of the photo) to Chinese team last Friday. Michelle and her husband Murray are Regional Developers of Caribbean Sun Region.
I am thankful for Chinese team had outing with 2 families last Sunday afternoon. God provided beautiful day. We enjoyed delicious lunch and had fun at recreation area. It is good for us to relax and build up closer relationship with these two families.
Victor shared “What makes a man feel love and thankful for his family?” in community group yesterday morning. About 16 ladies and their children came. Their husbands normally are working many hours and sometimes need to leave home to work in different Latin countries. The busy and high pressure working environment affects their family life. The audience asked some questions related to the relationship with their husbands. Chinese team hopes that the workshop will create the channel for us to reach out their husbands.
Prayer Items:
[1] Pray for men like to join bilingual Sunday service with their families.
[2] Some elderly couples come from China and live with their children in Santa Fe. They take care of their single/married children and their grandchildren. I prayed for God opened door for me to connect them. Praise the Lord. God answered my prayer!!! Recently, I connected 3 elderly ladies who are 60+. Pray for I can build up personal relationship with them and reach out more elderly couples.
[3] Grace’s brother has serious marriage problem. The couple is hurting one another and they are in the process of divorce. Pray for mercy and intervention of God and Grace has wisdom to help them.
[4] Cat asked me why Victor & Betty and I serve the community without charge. Are we silly? I shared how God transformed me. I also encouraged her to read the Bible to know Jesus Christ. Pray for one day she will meet our Lord and will experience radical transformation from above.
[5] I will go back to Toronto on December 7th for medical follow up. I will stay in Toronto for 6 weeks. Pray for my health and God opens the door for me to share Mandarin ministry in Santa Fe when I stay in Toronto.
