Coronavirus outbreak makes significant impact to the community & ministry:
(1) the community is in panic for the outbreak.
(2) some families cannot come back after Chinese New Year holiday.
(3) Some people cannot go back to China for business or school. Children are home-schooling to learn through videos created by teachers.
(4) Individuals or families are required to quarantine 14 days after they come back from China.
(5) all gatherings except Sunday service are halted.
The situation is not good but God continues to work in anxious souls during this unexpected situation. I like to share 3 stories how He moves people’s heart.
First Story:
Last update I asked for the prayer for mother Z who has bible study with me. Thank you for the prayer. God answered it. She accepted Jesus Christ as personal Saviour when we had bible study last Wednesday. Praise the Lord!
Second Story:
Brother M’s mother encourages him to share the Gospel to his colleagues & friends and his friend committed suicide recently. The two incidents reminded him the importance of evangelism. He came to the service with his colleague (Mr. F) last Sunday.
Third Story:
Mother A attended last
Sunday service for the first time. We had lunch after the service at my
place. I am grateful we talked about life & struggle. She
studies bible with Victor & Betty.
I am exhausted after she left but
I rejoice because this is the mission for me to live here and share the Good
News with those who don’t know Him. I am fragile but our Almighty God
accomplishes out of our imagination.
Prayer Items:
[1] Pray for spiritual growth of mother Z. She and her eldest daughter have teeth problem. Pray for God provides a capable dentist to help them.
[2] Pray for strength & wisdom for brother M to share the Gospel to his colleagues & friends. Also, pray for him to discern God’s will for the future of employment.
[3] Mother A and her family will leave soon because the relocation of her husband on the end of April. Pray for her to know Jesus Christ more through bible study with Victor & Betty before she leaves. Also pray for the couple has wisdom to handle the detail of relocation.
[4] Victor & Betty and I need health, strength & wisdom to share peace & joy to the community.
[5] I will go to Vancouver on March 4-9 for mission focus of North Richmond Alliance Church. Pray for His people hear & respond to the Great Commission. I will go to Houston to visit my sister & her family after the conference and go back to Mexico City on 14th. Pray for rest & time with my sister and her family.
[6] I will go back to Toronto on July 4-25 for medical travel to follow up the surgery for the thyroid on Feb last year. I like to meet you and/or group setting to share Mandarin ministry in Mexico City when I am in Toronto.
